Make-up is an Art

I was googling my daughter to watch a movie clip on her website, and I was amazed at all the stories and photos from her storied career. In some of them, I wouldn’t even recognize her. Those are mostly the ones where she’s wearing the ‘fierce-model’ look.

In this one I recognize her instantly, and not just her. I recognize her and her mother and her mother’s mother, and my mother and myself.

The grandfathers must be in there, too, but I don’t really recognize them. Recessive genes, maybe.

I think this photo says a lot about the art of photography and modeling and make-up. Like all artistry, it’s not just looks; it’s hard work and know-how. And like all artistry, less is more.
